Legal Information Management is a small, woman-owned business founded in 1984 by Ann DiLoreto, MSLIS.
With a background in library and information science and over four decades of hands-on experience, I help organizations organize and make practical use of complex information.
After beginning my career managing a private law firm library in Boston, I moved to Silicon Valley, where I worked with librarians and organizations to modernize their systems during the early growth of networked and web-based technologies. I later relocated to Hawaii, where I continue to work with a focused group of clients and projects.
Experience & Focus
My work includes:
- Legal and institutional information systems
- Database design and publishing workflows
- Training, seminars, and technical support
- Ongoing consulting for specialized and legacy systems
Today, I provide selective consulting and technical support—helping clients keep their systems organized, usable, and running reliably.
Speaking & Professional Activities
Through seminars, workshops, and conference presentations, I helped bring database systems into use in law firms, law libraries, and special libraries during their early adoption.
I have presented for organizations including Stanford Law School, the American Association of Law Libraries, Computers in Libraries, Legal Tech, and the Bar Association of San Francisco.
